Geordie Greep is an English musician, singer and songwriter, born in 1999. From 2017 to 2024, he was the leader and lead guitarist of the band Black Midi, formed at the BRIT School. His first solo album, The New Sound, was released in 2024.

Geordie Wade Greep (/ˈdʒɔːrdiː ɡriːp/; born 20 August 1999) is an English musician, singer and songwriter. From 2017 to 2024, he was the leader and lead guitarist of the rock group Black Midi, often considered part of the emerging wave of British rock music known as the Windmill scene.
While studying at the BRIT School, he met Matt Kwasniewski-Kelvin, Cameron Picton and Morgan Simpson; together, they formed Black Midi. The group began performing publicly at the Brixton pub The Windmill, the only venue that replied to Greep's emails asking for gigs.
After signing to Rough Trade Records in 2019, the group was critically acclaimed for their three studio albums, Schlagenheim, Cavalcade and Hellfire. After Black Midi's hiatus, Greep began a solo career and released his debut studio album, The New Sound, again on Rough Trade Records, on 4 October 2024.
Greep is known for his distinctive voice, partly due to his accent, which has been described as "geographically unplaceable". He often writes dramatic narratives in his songs, many of which centre on specific characters, as in the Black Midi song "John L", for example.
