About — The artist
Jack Dupon is a French progressive rock band, from Clermont-Ferrand, in the Puy-de-Dôme.
Their musical style is classified in the RIO/avant-prog category, or Rock in Opposition, by the site Prog-Archives. The tracks are created in a “scientifico-empirical” way from themes and melodies brought by one or another of the musicians, or from complete improvisations recorded and reworked in the studio.
They are often described by the media as worthy heirs of Frank Zappa, King Crimson and Gong. On stage, Jack Dupon likes to use imagery and sound to better convey their universe.
