About — The artist
KOAN Sound (pronounced KOH-ən, named after the word kōan) is an English electronic music production duo from Bristol, consisting of Will Weeks and Jim Bastow.
A track from their EP Max Out is titled "One Hand Clap", in reference to a famous kōan whose implied answer is silence. The duo first gained recognition as dubstep producers, notably with the track "Akira". Among their many styles are glitch hop, neurohop, and Drum & Bass.
The duo subsequently released tracks on various labels, including Inspected Records and Owsla, and collaborated with several artists, including producer Asa and singer Ed Sheeran.
