Lorànt Deutsch, born on 27 October 1975 in Alençon, is a French actor, presenter, and writer.
He began acting in his teens, then gained notoriety appearing in films such as Le Ciel, les Oiseaux et... ta mère !, Ripoux 3, and Trois Zéros.
He is also known for having published several popular works on French history, including Métronome : l'histoire de France au rythme du métro parisien, released in 2009 (his biggest success, selling nearly 2 million copies worldwide), and Hexagone in 2013. Historians such as Aurore Chéry and William Blanc have criticised his works for their approximations and ideological biases.
