PJ Morton, born Paul Morton Jr. on March 29, 1981, in New Orleans, is an American singer and musician.
He notably signed with Young Money Entertainment before joining the band Maroon 5, where he replaced Jesse Carmichael, the synthesizer pianist, when Carmichael decided to temporarily leave the group to focus on his solo career. Adam Levine helped the talented PJ Morton gain recognition by giving him the opening slot for concerts on the Overexposed world tour, alongside artists like Robin Thicke, during their concert at the Paris-Bercy stadium on January 19, 2014.
