About — The artist

Primal Fear is a German power metal band from Esslingen, Baden-Württemberg. It was formed in 1997 by Ralf Scheepers (vocals, ex-Tyran'Pace and ex-Gamma Ray), Mat Sinner (bass and vocals, SINNER), Stefan Leibing and Tom Naumann (guitar).

Many[Who?] consider Primal Fear's eponymous debut album to be the album Judas Priest should have released instead of Jugulator. The first five albums were inspired by Judas Priest, but the band evolved with Seven Seals, becoming more melodic and developing a more personal sound. This evolution was even more pronounced with New Religion, which gave even more space to melody, finding its place among the still largely present distorted guitars.
