Spiritbox

Spiritbox is a Canadian heavy metal band from Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Critics have described their style as metalcore, post-metal, djent, progressive metal, alternative metal, and 'post-metalcore'. The band's metal style is difficult to classify in a specific metal music genre, as it draws from a variety of influences and incorporates electronic elements. The band's hallmark is experimentation.

Spiritbox was formed in 2017 by the couple Mike Stringer (guitarist) and Courtney LaPlante (vocalist), after leaving their former band Iwrestledabearonce because they sought more artistic freedom. In 2017, they released their first EP titled Spiritbox, and in 2018, two new members joined the duo: Bill Crook on bass and Ryan Loerke on drums. All four released a second EP called Singles Collection in 2019.

The band gained popularity through singles that charted on Billboard, before releasing their debut album Eternal Blue (2021), reaching number 13 on the US Billboard 200. Their music is currently released through their label Pale Chord, in partnership with Rise Records. The band released their second album, Tsunami Sea on March 7, 2025.
