The Clash — tribute concerts

The Clash are a British punk rock band, originally from London, England, active between 1976 and 1986. They are considered one of the major quartets in the history of British rock and punk rock. The band began their career in 1976 and disbanded in 1986. In 2003, the line-up was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Its most important personalities are Joe Strummer and Mick Jones, both on guitar and vocals, as well as bassist Paul Simonon and drummer Topper Headon. The band's style, linked to the punk movement, is characterised by protest rock where the lyrics, "driven by an anarchist impulse", play a crucial role.

This band is also characterised by its ability to integrate varied sounds into its music by drawing from the musical roots of its members, including punk rock, rock, rockabilly, reggae, ska, and dub.
