About — The artist
Walid Ben Selim (born September 1984 in Casablanca) is a Moroccan singer and composer. A member of the generation of artists who emerged in Morocco in the 2000s, he founded the N3rdistan collective and leads creations blending Arabic poetry with contemporary music. His work notably includes Here and Now, The Dice Player, and Espaces Poétiques. He has also composed for cinema and received the Orange Foundation Music Prize (2023) as well as the Film Music Prize at the Tangier National Film Festival (2024).
