About — The venue

The Maison des étudiants canadiens is one of the 40 houses that make up the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris in the 14th arrondissement.

Founded in 1926 thanks to a donation from Montreal businessman Joseph-Marcellin Wilson, it was the second house to be established at the CIUP and the first to open its doors. In the years 1968-1969, two wings were added to the “MEC” to accommodate a larger number of residents. It was renovated and expanded again in 1984 and in 2005-2006.

The house's mission is to host postgraduate university students and researchers of Canadian origin.
