About — The venue

The Palais du Pharo (from the Occitan 'faròt', meaning lighthouse) is a monument in Marseille whose construction was ordered by Emperor Napoleon III for Empress Eugénie in the second half of the 19th century. Today, it belongs to the city of Marseille and serves as a venue for conferences and various events. It overlooks the harbour entrance on the sea side, as well as the Pharo garden on the city side.
