About — The venue
The Mobilier national is a French public institution under the General Directorate of Artistic Creation of the French Ministry of Culture, heir to the Garde-meuble de la Couronne (Crown Furniture Repository). National textile manufactures as well as lace workshop-conservatories were attached to it during the 20th century after its relocation near the Gobelins tapestry factory. Since 2025, it has been included in the public institution Manufactures nationales - Sèvres & Mobilier national. It manages the furniture of the French State, such as the furnishing of ministries and embassies, its storage, restoration, and design, notably with the Atelier de recherche et de création (Research and Creation Workshop).
