About — The venue
L'Ágora is a covered square within the architectural complex of the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, Spain. It was designed by the renowned Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava Valls, who also created four other monuments in the City between 1998 and 2008.
It was built between 2008 and 2009 and was inaugurated in November 2009 during the Valencia Open men's tennis tournament, the first edition of which took place from 2 to 8 November 2009.
Construction work has recently been completed.
