About — The venue

Planet Ocean Montpellier is a complex combining an aquarium and a planetarium, located in the Odysseum leisure area in Montpellier. Until April 2018, the aquarium and the planetarium were managed independently: the aquarium was then called Mare Nostrum and the planetarium Galilée. The aquarium section has been open since 15 December 2007.

The park is one of the most visited sites in the Hérault, with 305,000 visitors in 2010, behind Europark (537,000 visitors) in Vias and the Abbatiale de Gellone in St Guilhem (305,000 visitors).
