About — The theatre

We Welcome is a live performance venue in Lagny-sur-Marne, in Seine-et-Marne, listed on the Paris events guide concerts.paris, as the catchment area we cover extends well beyond the capital's limits.

Its programme is entirely devoted to stage performance: no music dates appear there. Humour leads, closely followed by comedy, in a more evenly balanced mix than in most venues of this type. Young audiences then take a significant share, ahead of a few circus and magic shows.

This emphasis on children's shows clearly sets the venue apart from the classic comedy stages in the catalogue. It makes it a family outing as much as an evening out for adults, with time slots and start times that vary according to the intended audience. This information appears in the entry for each date, not on the venue's page.

The prices on record form a low, tightly grouped range, with no seating categories to weigh up. It is a format for regular outings rather than one-off events, where the price stays stable from one show to the next.

Being in Seine-et-Marne means planning the journey ahead: no metro, RER or tram station is within walking distance of the registered address. The "View on map" link at the top of the page lets you work out the route, by car or public transport, before booking rather than after.

Finally, as in all venues running runs of performances, the same show is often staged over several evenings. The calendar on this page groups these performances together and lets you choose the date that suits, rather than giving up if the first one you considered does not work.

A point of attention regarding register, finally. Under the same humour label sit shows aimed at adults and productions suitable for all ages: the description given for each entry specifies the intended audience, which the genre alone cannot settle. That is the thing to read before booking for the whole family.
