Overview
Returning to the Sunset-Sunside, Alex Freiman & The Hot Sauce arrive with a repertoire put together especially for the occasion, true to their explosive DNA: the ravaging groove of James Brown, the subdued soul-jazz of Grant Green, the contagious energy of Delvon Lamarr — a unique blend of jazz, soul, funk and blues.
For this date, the group dives back into the jazz of the Sixties. Alex Freiman reinterprets the standout tracks from his albums Play It Gentle and In The Beginning, and unveils new compositions and arrangements in a preview.
Between reinvented classics and original creations, one guiding principle: groove, improvisation, an organic sound. This live energy doesn't lie! Not to be missed.
