Overview
André Manoukian & Jean François Zygel Between duel and duet – 2 pianos Anything goes in the duel between André Manoukian and Jean-François Zygel. It must be said that when it comes to repartee, both pianistic and verbal, the two protagonists are not lacking!
But rest assured, the battle is rather good-natured and the tone light! Each at his keyboard, sometimes rivals, sometimes accomplices, the two musicians play a fiercely contested game of notes.
Woven with variations and improvised passages, their escapades cross paths with Bach, Beethoven, Brel, Bill Evans, Mozart and even Duke Ellington.
André Manoukian and Jean-François Zygel both have the gift of words, the piano, humour, expression, a passion for music and an extraordinary talent for passing it on. Without a doubt: they have fun on stage, and they will amuse you too.
