BREL! LE SPECTACLE Designed and directed by Gil Marsalla, and performed by Belgian Olivier Laurent, this tribute show to great Jacques has already captivated audiences worldwide. Many speak of him as a reincarnation.
On stage, Olivier Laurent doesn't imitate Brel, he is Brel, bringing his greatest songs back to life as if his life depended on it.
With this concert already performed a hundred times before rapturous or tearful audiences, in Paris, Montreal, New York, Stockholm, Beirut, London and Dubai, it is through voice, rage, irony and tenderness that the artist pays this masterful tribute to Belgium's greatest francophone singer.
Accompanied by 4 exceptional musicians, he gives himself body and soul to match the frenzied rhythm of La Valse À Mille Temps, embodies with fervour and elegance Ces Gens-Là, Les Vieux or Les Bigotes.
And even makes us (re)discover Voir Un Ami Pleurer from the album Les Marquises, which Jacques Brel, swept away by illness, never had time to sing on stage. A great breath of poetry and genuine performance. Shivers guaranteed!
