The Hu - Tournée

The HU are an absolutely unique force of nature. Formed in 2016 in the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar, this quartet are pioneers of the Hunnu Rock genre, with close to 900 million streams worldwide – and that figure keeps climbing. Their first album, "The Gereg", released in 2019, catapulted them to the forefront of the scene: not only in their homeland, where they became the first group ever to receive the prestigious Order of Chinggis Khaan, but also in a galaxy far, far away, by contributing an original song to the soundtrack of the video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Two years later, their name appeared alongside giants such as Elton John, St. Vincent and Ghost on the epic tracklist of The Metallica Blacklist, performing a remarkable and powerful cover of "Through The Never" at the personal request of the metal legends. Their next album, "Rumble Of Thunder", released in 2022, took The HU to iconic stages such as the Glastonbury Festival in England, as well as to North American arenas as support act for Iron Maiden. These two captivating albums kept the band's promise to share the beauty of their heritage – indeed, their lyrics are entirely, and very deliberately, in Mongolian.

"If you learn the language and translate our lyrics, you will understand the context even better – the reasons behind the choice of these words," explains Gala, the band's leader, who is also the throat singer and player of the morin khuur (horsehead fiddle). "We hope to encourage people to speak Mongolian more and to take an interest in Mongolian culture. It is a very rich culture that deserves to be represented." Now, as The HU prepare for the eagerly awaited release of their third album in 2026, they are going even further.
