The Hu - Tournée

The HU are an absolutely unique force of nature. This musical sensation, formed in 2016 in the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar, is a pioneering quartet of the Hunnu Rock genre, with nearly 900 million streams worldwide – and that number continues to grow.

Their debut album in 2019, « The Gereg  », propelled them to the forefront: not only in their home country, where they were the first band to ever receive the prestigious Order of Chinggis Khaan distinction, but also in a galaxy far, far away, by contributing an original song to the soundtrack of the game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Two years later, their name appeared alongside giants like Elton John, St. Vincent, and Ghost on the epic tracklist of The Metallica Blacklist, performing a remarkable and powerful cover of « Through The Never  » at the personal request of the metal legends.

And their subsequent album, released in 2022, « Rumble Of Thunder  », brought The HU to iconic stages such as England's Glastonbury festival, as well as North American arenas supporting Iron Maiden.

These first two captivating albums fulfilled the band's promise to share the beauty of their heritage – indeed, their lyrics are entirely, and very intentionally, in Mongolian.

« If you learn the language and translate our lyrics, you will understand the context even better – the reasons behind the choice of these words,  » explains Gala, the band's leader, who is also the throat singer and morin khuur (horsehead fiddle) player.

« We hope to encourage people to speak more Mongolian and to take an interest in Mongolian culture. It is a very rich culture that deserves to be represented.  » Now, as The HU prepare for the highly anticipated release of their third album in 2026, they are going even further.
