Car/Men - Chicos Mambo

, Victor BosCh and Lafeuille d'Automne « Another icon... A reference figure of the theatre, reimagined a thousand times. So how does one approach such an icon? Narration? Parody? Drama? Ballet? Opera? Perhaps already an ode to freedom, « free, she will die...  ».

So freedom of movement, without label or code... An Iberochoreographic fantasy... Not only opera or ballet... contemporary or flamenco... Comic or tragic... feminine or masculine... handmade or digital... a bit of all that and much more.

A Carmen in motion through dancing bodies, a voice, words and music so that the journey into the land of Carmen can begin... And of course the inevitable Bizet... But blur the tracks to open the way... Who are you, Carmen?

A 'reset' Carmen, 'a flying Minotaur' or a bullfighter 'on pointe'? An improbable encounter between a singer, male dancers and an eternal feminine. Frilled dresses to add flounces to life.

Like a flamboyant dedication to that Spanish moment of life, a suit of lights to better enter the arena of memories and feelings. Perhaps a way of saying: I have not forgotten... And Olé. Carmen in all her states... Play of masks... « Love is a gypsy child...  » Philippe Lafeuille
