Carmen - Abou Lagraa, Ballet de l'Opéra de Tunis

The Ballet de l'Opéra de Tunis presents its choreographic reworking of Carmen at the Centre culturel communal Jacques Prévert.

The Centre culturel communal Jacques Prévert hosts a dance performance choreographed by Abou Lagraa. This production offers a contemporary reading of the operatic work through the movement and body language of the Ballet de l'Opéra de Tunis. On stage, the dancers take hold of this dramatic score, blending tradition with current choreographic writing.

The show is aimed at lovers of contemporary dance and gestural theatre who want to discover a renewed version of a great classic of the repertoire. The production puts the emphasis on the expressiveness of the bodies and the visual force of the ensemble tableaux in order to carry the tragedy of this character.

Audiences take their seats in the main hall of this cultural venue in Villeparisis to watch this creation. The performance offers an opportunity for artistic discovery centred on the work of the Tunisian company, in a setting suited to large-scale choreographic shows.
