Studio Marigny (LR-21-014709-10-12) presents, in agreement with Chêne Noir, CARNETS D'UKRAINE by Michel Hazanavicius. Adaptation, Direction and Music: Julien Gelas. Performer: Hugo Becker.
In November 2023, Michel Hazanavicius travelled to Ukraine to meet those involved in the war. From this experience, he drew moving pencil portraits of men and women fighting for their families, their freedom, and their country.
To offer them a respite from this daily life of sacrifice, Ukrainian artists created “Les Forces culturelles” (Cultural Forces), a project that brings humanity and warmth amidst the turmoil.
From these encounters emerges a touching narrative, brought to life in a vibrant one-man show by Hugo Becker, who lends his voice to the words of these brave individuals and resilient hearts.
Carnets d’Ukraine is a powerful tribute to the strength of art and solidarity in the face of obscurantism, directed by Julien Gelas.
