Overview
Studio Marigny (LR-21-014709-10-12) presents, by arrangement with Le Chêne Noir, CARNETS D'UKRAINE by Michel Hazanavicius. Adaptation, direction and music: Julien Gelas. Performer: Hugo Becker.
In November 2023, Michel Hazanavicius travelled to Ukraine to meet those who are fighting the war. He brought back moving portraits drawn in pencil: men and women fighting for their families, their freedom and their country.
To offer them a respite from this daily life of sacrifice, Ukrainian artists created "Les Forces culturelles", a project that brings humanity and warmth into the heart of the turmoil.
From these encounters emerges a touching story, carried in a vibrant one-man show by Hugo Becker, who lends his voice to the words of these brave people and of hearts in resistance.
Carnets d'Ukraine is a powerful tribute to the strength of art and solidarity in the face of obscurantism, staged by Julien Gelas.
