Claudia Solal et Benoît Delbecq / Bruno Angelini

Claudia Solal and Benoît Delbecq share the stage with Bruno Angelini for an evening of contemporary jazz at Studio de l'Ermitage.

Vocalist Claudia Solal and pianist Benoît Delbecq unite their artistic paths within contemporary creation, navigating between free improvisations and composed forms. Their collaboration highlights a demanding approach to voice and piano, where each melody often fades in favour of a sound texture sculpted in real time. Alongside pianist Bruno Angelini, the lineup offers an exploration of current harmonic languages, influenced by the great tradition of jazz modernity yet emancipated from the genre's traditional structures.

On stage, this formation stands out for its rigorous mutual listening and economy of means that prioritises nuance and formal precision. Benoît Delbecq's playing, marked by acoustic preparations on the instrument, dialogues with Claudia Solal's singular vocal phrasing, while Bruno Angelini brings his own harmonic counterpoint to the piano. This concert is aimed at lovers of exploratory jazz and improvised music attached to formal research. Studio de l'Ermitage provides an attentive listening space for this performance, conducive to the concentration that this creative repertoire demands.
