Déni - Théâtre de Paris

Can we choose when everything is beyond us? A young couple with a bright future is forced to reconsider everything within a matter of hours, and to make a decision that could change their lives forever.

Discover Déni, a play by Sophie Cottin directed by Raphaelle Cambray, from 18 September. Synopsis: Alix seems to have everything needed to be happy: a job she loves, a solid relationship, and a future taking shape in New-York. Until one summer evening, everything tips over.

A romantic evening turns incomprehensible. In a few hours, Alix's life cracks, is shaken, and imposes itself on her.

Facing Romain, her bewildered partner, Papini, her loving grandfather, a young hesitant doctor, and Claudia, a caring nurse, Alix must confront what reason refuses to accept.

Between tension and tenderness, humour and vertigo, Déni explores the fragility of our certainties, the power of reality when it arrives uninvited, and the unsuspected strength needed to be reborn when everything collapses.
