Guillaume de Tonquédec presents his first one-man show, a deeply intimate performance, to be discovered in Salle Réjane at the Théâtre de Paris from 26 October.
On stage, he opens up with sincerity and tells the story of his parents. That of his mother, who has lived with multiple sclerosis for over forty years. That of his father, who became, almost in spite of himself, her carer. And his own, that of a son who sees his parents falter, struggle. Through the narrative of a daily life marked by illness, a formidable life lesson emerges. For at the heart of this story is a love of rare power: the love that unites his parents and allows them, day after day, to go through the ordeal together.
Guillaume de Tonquédec pays tribute to those who built him. He celebrates the most beautiful love story he has ever witnessed and offers his parents a form of eternity. Through their journey, he also speaks of all of us, and of the strength of love and family ties in the face of adversity.
