Overview
Ta Mère et Moi. Guillaume de Tonquédec signs his first one-man show, a deeply intimate piece, to be seen in the Salle Réjane of the Théâtre de Paris from 26 October. On stage, he opens up with sincerity and tells the story of his parents. That of his mother, who has lived with multiple sclerosis for more than forty years. That of his father, who has become, almost in spite of himself, her carer. And his own, that of a son watching his parents wobble and fight. Through the account of an everyday life marked by illness, a remarkable lesson in life emerges. For at the heart of this story lies a love of rare power: the love that unites his parents and allows them, day after day, to get through the ordeal together. Guillaume de Tonquédec pays tribute to those who shaped him. He celebrates the most beautiful love story he has ever been given to witness and offers his parents a kind of eternity. Through their journey, he also speaks of all of us, and of the strength of love and family ties in the face of adversity. A sensitive artistic gesture where the intimate meets the universal.
