We are in Helsinki, the capital of Finland, which has become a host country for climate refugees. Nostalgic for the joyful bingo games of their homeland, the French working-class community gathers every Saturday in their neighbourhood's Bingo Halli, hoping to win a prize useful for their bleak daily lives. However, in Finland, the atmosphere in bingo halls is pathetic. With Diskoteekki (Finnish for discotheque), Nicole Genovese, known for her absurd and social poetic humour theatre, leads Les Percussions de Strasbourg in a reflection on enchantment. This musical comedy, with the sincere charm of a vulnerable human group, pays tribute to the solitudes that come together and reveal themselves.
