After twenty years of collaboration and significant partnerships – from Oxygène to Danse “Delhi”, via Genèse n°2 and more recently Illusions – Ivan Viripaev and Galin Stoev, one of the most prolific and influential duos in contemporary theatre, reunite in April 2027 for a new play, En émoi, premiering in France.

Ulya Richt, an acclaimed American writer tipped for the Nobel Prize, welcomes Polish journalist Krzysztof Kaminski to her New York penthouse for a career-defining interview. Despite the presence of her agent and lawyer, tasked with framing and controlling the discussion, the pre-established agreements with the journalist fall apart. What was meant to be a meticulously orchestrated meeting becomes an unfiltered, open confession. With Catherine Hiegel in the role of the author, En émoi delivers a sensitive and sincere reflection on the flip side of success, the rejection of one's identity, the courage to be oneself, and the price of creation.
