After some twenty years of partnership and landmark collaborations - from Oxygène to Danse "Delhi", via Genèse n°2 and, more recently, Illusions - Ivan Viripaev and Galin Stoev, who form one of the most prolific and influential duos in contemporary theatre, reunite in April 2027 for a new play, created for the first time in France: En émoi. Ulya Richt, an acclaimed American writer destined for the Nobel Prize, receives Polish journalist Krzysztof Kaminski in her New York penthouse for an interview that could be decisive for her career. Despite the presence of her agent and her lawyer, whose task is to frame and control the conversation, the terms agreed in advance with the journalist are shattered. What was meant to be a meticulously orchestrated encounter becomes an unfiltered confession laid bare.

With Catherine Hiegel in the role of the writer, En émoi offers a sensitive and sincere reflection on the flip side of success, the rejection of one's identity, the courage to be oneself and the price of creation.
