Overview
With En pente, the author and director builds a sweeping fresco inspired by the story of a Bernese family behind a major agricultural machinery company.
Across six generations, the show follows the paths of the women who, often relegated to the background of the official story, nonetheless shaped the family's history through their work, their renunciations, their desires and their acts of resistance.
Presented as a reading by Dominique Reymond, En pente unveils the first fragments of a theatrical saga still being written.
Blending archive documents and fiction, the project traces the individual destinies of these women and reveals the social, economic and political shifts of contemporary Switzerland.
