The Norwegian progressive metal band ENSLAVED announces its new co-headline tour with the Icelandic band SÓLSTAFIR, with the Norwegian band GAAHLS WYRD as support. The three bands will tour the UK and Europe in February 2027.
ENSLAVED will be touring to promote their new album, "Mið", which will be released on October 30th via Nuclear Blast Records. SÓLSTAFIR will be promoting their latest album, "Hin helga kvöl".
ENSLAVED's new album, "Mið" – an Old Norse word meaning "centre" or "middle" – marks a new turning point and a new beginning. The band has always explored transitional states, notably through the thematically linked and mythologically imbued rites of passage that were "Utgard" (2020) and "Heimdal" (2023).
"Hin helga kvöl" blends SÓLSTAFIR's characteristic melancholic sound with elements from their past, creating an album that is both contemplative and innovative, both in its scope and the quality of its compositions. At the heart of "Hin helga kvöl" are the band members' personal, sincere, and electrifying interpretations, which highlight SÓLSTAFIR's ability to seamlessly merge genres to create something unprecedented.
