Tagada Jones

Presented by RAGE TOUR. For over 20 years, Tagada Jones has traversed national and international stages with their punk-hardcore. The group has crossed 25 countries, produced 9 studio albums, and burned the stage more than 1,800 times!

Undoubtedly one of the few French punk combos to export so much while singing in their native language. Tagada is also social conscience, political engagement, and above all a reference for independence.

Worthy heirs to the French alternative scene, they are recognized by their predecessors (Bérurier Noir, Parabellum, Shériff…) as the embodiment of French "Do it yourself".

Though the combo started their career over twenty years ago as a 100% punk-rock quartet, their music has undergone some changes, notably a more electro-punk orientation following the arrival of a fifth member on samples.

Today the group has returned to their first loves and continues composing punk music faithful to its roots, even if the electro-industrial aspect hasn't entirely disappeared.

The group now more than ever covers a musical spectrum ranging from English punk from its origins to its 90s Californian version, passing through French alternative of the 1980s and even metal and hardcore.

Influences perfectly digested to ultimately result in music that sounds like nothing other than Tagada Jones! If the music has evolved, it remains immediately recognizable, notably thanks to Niko's voice, his enraged singing, and activist lyrics.

These lyrics have undergone their own evolution but remain very broadly focused on societal issues such as capitalism, globalization, oppression, wars, racism, ecology, politics, religions, domestic violence, and freedom in the broad sense of the term...

The themes remain serious, the vision terribly lucid, and the whole paints a p
