Tagada Jones

Presented by RAGE TOUR. For more than 20 years, Tagada Jones has been touring national and international stages with its punk-hardcore sound. The band has travelled through 25 countries, released 9 studio albums and worn out the boards on more than 1,800 occasions!

Probably one of the only French punk combos to tour abroad so extensively while singing in their native tongue. Tagada is also a social conscience, a political commitment and, above all, a benchmark for independence. ) as the embodiment of French 'Do It Yourself'.

Although the combo began its career just over twenty years ago as a 100% punk-rock quartet, its music has undergone several changes, notably a more electro-punk direction during a few years following the arrival of a fifth member on samples.

Today the group has returned to its first loves and continues to compose punk music faithful to its roots, even if the electro-industrial aspect has not entirely disappeared.

The band now covers more than ever a musical spectrum ranging from English punk, from its origins to its Californian version of the 1990s, through the French alternative scene of the 1980s, as well as metal and hardcore.

These influences have been perfectly digested to produce a music that resembles nothing other than Tagada Jones! Although the music has evolved, it remains instantly recognisable, notably thanks to Niko's voice, his furious singing and his militant lyrics.

These lyrics have also undergone a certain evolution, but they remain largely focused on societal issues such as capitalism, globalisation, oppression, war, racism, ecology, politics, religion, domestic violence and freedom in the broadest sense of the term...
