Et Maintenant, L'Hommage à Gilbert Bécaud

Presented by Gil Marsalla and Directo Prod

Following the worldwide success of Piaf! Le Spectacle, Brel! Le Spectacle and Formidable Aznavour, producer and director Gil Marsalla of Directo Productions returns with ET MAINTENANT — L'hommage à Gilbert Bécaud. Gilbert Bécaud performed in this iconic venue more than 30 times during his career, and songs such as « Je reviens te chercher  », « Et Maintenant  » and « Nathalie  » went on to become classics. In 2027, we will celebrate the centenary of Gilbert Bécaud.

Regarded as a giant of French song, Gilbert Bécaud left his musical mark on the whole world. His songs were covered by the greatest artists across the globe, including Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, Nina Simone, Sonny and Cher, James Brown and many others. Yet, until now, no show had paid tribute to him! That changes with Et Maintenant, Gil Marsalla's new show, which launched its worldwide tour in the year marking the 20th anniversary of the passing of this global icon of French-language song.

« …Gilbert Bécaud is one of the greatest composers of the 20th century, with almost 50 years of career and more than 650 songs. The first idol… of the public, even before the Beatles. His songs became standards in the United States, Canada, Russia… The world has sung, still sings and will go on singing his legendary hits for a long time. Et Maintenant, now it is my turn to pay tribute to Mr 100 000 Volts…  » Jules Grison
