Overview
Following his Hommage à François de Roubaix, which opened the season, Fred Pallem takes on the repertoire of the composer Ennio Morricone. With this programme, Fred Pallem offers a fresh perspective on the work of one of his mentors, highlighting the lesser-known aspects of Ennio Morricone, a composer inspired at once by the pop music of his era, serial music and free directed improvisation. He unearths rare gems, reorchestrates them and transforms them without distorting them, has his orchestra play with musical forms, and sets them alongside well-known themes, with the idea of sharing with an audience that has often stayed with the composer's hits (Once Upon a Time in the West, Le Professionnel).
