Hommage A Julio Iglesias — Diego Ramos — Hommage A Julio Iglesias

The Théâtre Sébastopol hosts a tribute concert to Julio Iglesias, performed by Diego Ramos, to bring the great classics of Spanish song back to life.

Julio Iglesias established himself as one of the major figures on the international scene from the late sixties onwards. Originally from Madrid, this artist began his career in 1968 before releasing his debut album, entitled Yo canto, the following year with Decca Records. His repertoire blends pop, country influences, and contemporary music, driven by instantly recognisable melodies that have spanned the decades.

On stage, Diego Ramos performs the repertoire of this monument of song during a set designed for long-time admirers as well as listeners curious to rediscover these arrangements. The interpretation endeavours to restore the vocal range and atmosphere of the original recordings, relying on an acoustic and vocal lineup faithful to the studio-recorded versions.

This evening is aimed at audiences attached to the great standards of Hispanic and international variety. The setting of the Théâtre Sébastopol offers a seated layout conducive to attentive listening to this tribute show, centred on the transmission of a global musical heritage.
