Il à la Côte Devos - Le Toboggan - Decines

Il a la côte Devos Daniel Benoin A show to savour like a balancing act, featuring a surprise cast of the highest calibre. Through this show, Daniel Benoin pays tribute to Raymond Devos by bringing some of his gems back to life, performed by actors of all generations.

An unclassifiable figure and a poetic clown with an unforgettable look, Devos left his mark on the 20th century with his incomparable art of the unexpected.

A master of wordplay, he had no equal in drawing audiences into a world where language runs away with itself, goes off the rails and reinvents reality. But Raymond Devos was not only a master of laughter.

Mime, actor, musician, acrobat, he filled the stage with boundless fantasy, where the absurd constantly rubbed shoulders with emotion and tenderness.

From the cabarets of the Left Bank to the great music-hall stages, he forged a unique art, nourished by a love of words, a taste for play and the thrill of vertigo.

With relish and precision, Daniel Benoin and his accomplices now take on these exhilarating texts, in which a small detail of everyday life is enough to tip the world over.

A lively, mischievous and theatrical tribute to an artist whose humour still makes us laugh, dream and question our certainties.
