Jil Caplan en concert : festival Monte le son 2026

This year, the Monte le son festival honours women. And we are delighted to welcome a vibrant legend, Jil Caplan. For this concert, she is accompanied by Emilie Marsh and Seb Collinet.

Between her literature studies at the Sorbonne and drama classes, nothing predestined the young Valentine to become a singer. Jil Caplan was born with her first album: « À peine 21  », the first in a long series that would earn her a Victoire de la Musique award in 1992.

It is certain that her passion for music and literature since childhood, as well as the legacy of her lyrical singer grandmother, contributed to this great movement. And it was through song that she managed to combine everything: music, writing, and stage experiences.

Jil Caplan has 9 albums rich in collaborations, with composers such as Jay Alansky, JP Nataf (Les Innocents) or Romane; a coming-of-age story and a collection of free poetry, theatre roles based on texts by Jean-Luc Lagarce, Georges Feydeau.

Many stages (both in France and internationally). She has a voice identifiable from the first note, an atypical personality, ultimately quite unclassifiable. Above all, she is a sensitive, curious woman, always eager for more.

For this concert, she is accompanied by Emilie Marsh and Seb Collinet.
