Joe Sanders - Parallels

Joe Sanders presents Parallels on stage, offering an excursion into the history of American jazz.

A historical figure in jazz, Joe Sanders distinguished himself as a pianist, singer, composer and bandleader within the Kansas City scene. Active from the 1920s onwards, the artist notably co-led the Coon-Sanders' Nighthawks orchestra, a major pre-swing jazz formation that helped popularize the radio genre and the large ensembles of the era.

On stage, the repertoire brings this aesthetic back to life through arrangements faithful to the origins of classic jazz. This offering is particularly aimed at fans of traditional jazz and historical music who are curious to discover live the legacy of this foundational period.

Espace Sorano in Vincennes is hosting this concert, providing a venue well-suited to intimate musical gatherings. Audiences will find the necessary listening conditions there to appreciate the precision of the orchestrations and the energy of this ensemble.
