Joséphine Baker, the musical Her life is a novel, this show her light! The moving and festive musical destiny of one of the most inspiring women of the 20th century, brought to life by a troupe of 8 brilliant artists who magically resurrect her!

Married at 13, from the black ghetto of Missouri, young Joséphine arrived in France and became the icon of all of Paris during the Roaring Twenties.

She joined the Resistance and would symbolise the great universal woman recently celebrated at the Panthéon… “Joséphine Baker le musical” allows us to rediscover the dazzling artist with extraordinary dancing and singing talents, a precursor of Hip hop.

This show also reveals the romantic life of this free and committed woman.

We will meet her partners (Gabin), her lovers (Paul Colin, Pépito), her husbands (Willie Baker, Jo Bouillon) and heroes, like her, who did not hesitate to put their lives in danger to save Jews and thwart the Nazis' plans.

She campaigned all her life against racial segregation by joining Martin Luther King Jr and adopting 12 children of all origins to create her rainbow tribe. Beautiful choreographed scenes in flamboyant period costumes!!!
