Overview
Election campaigns, scandals, corruption, sham promises… welcome to the kingdom of Carabistouilles!
What if democracy were nothing more than a sleight of hand? After Perlimpinpin, Karine Dubernet returns to take apart, with the scorching humour she is known for, the greatest collective illusion of our time. From the ballot boxes to the swindles, from the debates to the dodgy dealings, she unpicks the great electoral circus with contagious glee. Candidates smoother than their promises, parties without supporters, voters in a state of PLS… welcome to the greatest conjuring act in politics!
But behind the satire lies a question: at what point did the people stop holding the controls?
Between colourful characters and sharp punchlines, Karine Dubernet delivers a searing one-woman show in which you laugh yellow, blue, red… and above all very loudly.
Writers: Karine Dubernet & Carole Greep
