Overview
Immersing visitors in the filmmaker's most recent works, the exhibition offers an insight into her perception of nature, her methodology and her economy of means, which the artist has pursued with persistence since the 1970s.
Until now rarely shown in exhibitions, Rose Lowder's cinema has for fifty years been a research into visual perception, through an observation of nature captured by a 16-millimetre camera, interweaving rapidly flowing images in sites where biodiversity is preserved.
La Source de la Loire (2019-2021), filmed on the Mont Gerbier de Jonc, forms the heart of this presentation and is accompanied by two 'Bouquets': twenty one-minute films, each shot on organic farms and estates, most of them in the south of France, where the artist also lives.
