Le Comte de Monte — Cristo en Ciné — Concert

The event film that captivated over 13 million viewers worldwide returns in a unique ciné-concert version with a symphony orchestra during a tour that will visit Paris, Lille, and Lyon in April 2027. For this occasion, the film will be presented in its extended version with 10 minutes of exclusive sequences. For over 3 hours, the 80 musicians of the Yellow Socks Orchestra will perform the famous original soundtrack live, in perfect synchronisation with the film's projection on the big screen. Conceived as an opera, Jérôme Rebotier's symphonic score, under the artistic direction and executive production of Pierre-Marie Dru (Pigalle Production), accompanies the hero, brilliantly played by Pierre Niney, from beginning to end in his quest for vengeance. The turning point in Dantès' destiny, Le trésor (The Treasure), this fortune that will allow him to become Le Comte de Monte-Cristo and finance his implacable retribution, also becomes the film's main musical theme. A haunting melodic motif – stemming from the first notes of the love theme between Edmond and Mercédès – that constantly returns like an unshakeable memory. Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de La Patellière's masterful adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' work, presented at the Cannes Film Festival in 2024 and winner of three César awards, including the high school students' César, reappears in a new form, sublimated by the power and emotion of the symphony orchestra.

Synopsis

Victim of a conspiracy, young Edmond Dantès is arrested on his wedding day for a crime he did not commit. After fourteen years of imprisonment in the Château d'If, he manages to escape. Immensely wealthy, he returns under the identity of Le Comte de Monte-Cristo to take revenge on the three men who betrayed him.
