Francesco Geminiani is an almost legendary figure of the Baroque period. An immense violinist, he was the student of Alessandro Scarlatti and Arcangelo Corelli. His name was then mentioned in the same breath as those of Vivaldi and Haendel.
Julien Chauvin and Le Concert de la Loge invite us to rediscover this unjustly neglected composer.
Alongside La Foresta incantata, which Geminiani composed in 1754 to accompany a pantomime at the Palais des Tuileries, this concert's program offers us superb airs and duos from the operas of his two great contemporaries Haendel and Vivaldi.
The Concert de la Loge's virtuosos will literally carry two sparkling voices, those of Julie Roset and Adèle Charvet.
