A ballet dream: "Swan Lake"

The International Festival Ballet presents a fairy tale of beauty, elegance and grace. A accomplished work of art, accompanied by a live orchestra.

"Swan Lake" is, for many, synonymous with ballet. This romantic tale about the young Prince Siegfried, who falls in love with the swan princess Odette and wants to free her from the spell cast by the villain Baron von Rothbart, is a story about the power of true love. This ballet is part of the standard repertoire of every major company. The Allegro Moderato of the Swan dances from the second act, in particular, has been parodied countless times in Lev Ivanov's choreography and is therefore known as the "Dance of the Four Little Swans" well beyond the ballet-going public.

In short: a brilliant work by a brilliant composer that has been captivating audiences for centuries. "Swan Lake" is brought to the stage as if by magic by one of the finest classical ballet companies, the International Festival Ballet. In addition, the magnificent sets by the brilliant theatre designer Vyacheslav Okunev, who works, among other places, for the Mariinsky Theatre in Saint Petersburg and La Scala in Milan, the gorgeous costumes, and the boundless elegance and carefree lightness of the "International Festival Ballet" guarantee a dreamy, fairy-tale version of a classical ballet that still enchants after more than 100 years.
