Overview
A children's show (jeune public) that recounts the relationship of Alfred de Musset and George Sand in Venice, told as an epistolary chronicle, at the Theatre du Nord — Ouest in Paris.
Le Roman de Venise evokes the stay in Venice of Alfred de Musset and George Sand, a relationship that has become one of the most famous in the literary life of the nineteenth century. The subtitle sets out the form: an epistolary chronicle, that is to say a narrative built from letters exchanged between the two writers.
The show is presented in the children's (jeune public) category. On stage, the spoken word and the thread of this correspondence serve to trace the chronology of the relationship, letting the voices of the two writers be heard.
The cast brings together Hélène Robin, Bernard Lefebvre and Béatrice Murtinger. The performance takes place at the Theatre du Nord — Ouest, a theatre located in the 9th arrondissement of Paris.
