Le Rôti

Directed by Benjamin Elharrar. Cast: Samy Berry, Vanessa Fery, Audrey David, Valentin Giard, Guillaume Carcaud, Ryad Baxx.

After the hilarious « Conseil de Famille  », « Amis  » and other plays that have become essential viewing, Amanda Sthers returns to the theatre with a new comedy as delicious as it is explosive: Le Rôti.

Jérôme and Mélanie, a couple of Parisian bobos, invite two friends to dinner: Julie, a sparkling single woman who embraces no-strings-attached affairs, and Medhi, a colleague from the office as charming as he is discreet.

Everything seems perfect… until the moment Medhi turns down the main course: a roast pork, which he cannot eat for religious reasons. And then the evening goes off the rails! Between awkward moments, home truths flying and nervous laughter, tongues loosen and certainties crumble.

With her biting humour and sharp pen, Amanda Sthers turns a dinner among friends into a mirror of our unease, our beliefs and our contradictions. Le Rôti questions our tolerance, our relationship with others and those subjects we always avoid putting... on the table.

A play full of wit, tenderness and truths served bloody rare. Wheelchair access phone number: 01 48 74 03 65
