ORTIZ, HUME, PURCELL, FRESCOBALDI, GEMINIANI, VIVALDI, GRECO... The Song of the Basses Thirty years ago, Bruno Cocset founded his ensemble Les Basses Réunies with a most apt name.
A cellist in demand by the greatest ensembles, he thus undertook to deepen our knowledge of his instrument which has undergone countless evolutions over the centuries.
At the same time, Bruno Cocset took us on an exciting exploration of a vast literature not limited to the admittedly brilliant music of Bach or Vivaldi.
Over the years, Les Basses Réunies have gathered exceptional virtuosos, who will contribute to this great evening at Salle Cortot. Painter Bertrand Bouin adds a visual dimension that, to be truthful, has never left Bruno Cocset's thoughts.
There will be illustrious mystery guests whose names are, of course, not to be revealed.
