Les Faux British

Imagine seven amateurs of English crime novels who decide to put on a show even though they have never set foot on stage! They have chosen an unpublished play, a true masterpiece written by Conan Doyle himself (or so they claim!)… The action takes place at the end of the 19th century, in a magnificent manor deep in the heart of England, during an engagement party. The festivities are finally about to begin when a murder is committed. Each of the guests present in the castle then becomes… a dangerous suspect. These valiant "actors for a night" very quickly discover, to their cost, that theatre demands an enormous amount of rigour. Despite all their good will, disasters follow one another at a frantic pace. In this merry chaos, our "Faux British," armed with the legendary British phlegm, do everything they can to perform this theatrical thriller, so dear to their hearts, as dignifiedly as possible. Will they manage to finish the play? In what state will we find them? One thing is certain: the audience will not stop laughing at such a succession of gags… so British!
