Les Ramoneurs de Menhirs, Tournée

The explosive birth of RAMONEURS DE MENHIRS took place in spring 2006.

It was in spring 2006 that RAMONEURS DE MENHIRS burst into being. In the Breton night made for dancing, against the backdrop of a frenzied drum machine, a distorted punk guitar joined forces with traditional partisan singing and the frenetic tunes of a pair of traditional wind players. The airs remain faithful to the repertoire and style of the old masters, and the Breton language coils and uncoils with the rhythm of gavottes, laridés, plinn, hanter-dro and other kas a-barh. The original lyrics are often subverted in favour of a protest-minded, contemporary view of our world. The punk-trad cocktail is explosive. Between modernity and tradition, the punk current and the historic current fuse in the legacy of bérurière defiance, and we are witnessing the birth of a genuine cultural and cross-generational revolution! Radically committed, active and responsive militants, the Ramoneurs de Menhirs support, concert after concert, the causes close to their hearts, always in the festive and supportive spirit that characterises them!
