Lizzie - Désert

Deeply rooted in French chanson and fado, Lizzie unveils intimate songs carried by a voice imbued with a gentle melancholy. It was in her adolescence that, by chance or by destiny, this pianist and guitarist, steeped in the music of Joan Baez and Barbara, discovered fado.

Her voice and her songs, unable to escape saudade, sit at the meeting point of all these musics. "Désert" is the second album by this songwriter. It is a story of wandering and doubt, mingled with the desire to live and to dream.

Her songs are close to the skin and seem to reveal the beauty that lies within our dark hours. Guitar and piano form the harmonic foundation of the album, while the Portuguese guitar and wind instruments lend a sublime quality to the artist's inner turmoil.
