Overview
A self-taught multi-instrumentalist, composer and improviser, Argentine Manu Sija has established himself as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary South American jazz.
Violin, bass, guitar, bandoneon, keyboards, percussion: virtuoso on every instrument, he builds organic soundscapes live through looping, where Argentine folklore, modern jazz and electronic experimentation meet.
Much-awarded, with two nominations for the Gardel Awards and the prestigious Konex, which named him among the five best instrumentalists of the 2015-2025 decade, his music has taken him from stages in Latin America to Africa, via Spain, Colombia and several legendary European jazz clubs, including Le Baiser Salé in Paris.
For this exceptional evening, Manu Sija is joined by two outstanding companions: Swiss-Argentine vibraphonist Lucas Dorado and Argentine percussionist Minino Garay.
A rare meeting of three Argentine musicians based in Europe, for a trio that brings folklore, jazz and improvisation into dialogue without borders. Manu Sija - Violin, guitar, bandoneon, voice Lucas Dorado - Vibraphone Minino Garay - Percussion, voice
