Overview
Programme: works by Grieg, Vivaldi, Brahms, Ravel, Debussy, Chausson, Rimsky-Korsakov, Saint-Saëns…
With Rossignols, Natalie Dessay, a mythical figure of opera — from the Queen of the Night to Violetta — explores a territory that is more intimate and free, where the voice becomes play, poetry and emotion. Alongside her, Johnny Rasse, a bird singer unlike any other, deploys a fascinating art, bringing blackbirds, chaffinches and nightingales to life in a captivating dialogue with the human voice. At the piano, Shani Diluka weaves a musical setting in which Edvard Grieg, Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel engage in dialogue with Alphonse de Lamartine and Jacques Prévert.
